Grinnell State Bank, Grinnell, IA was founded in 1925 by the first President of the bank, C.A. Fraizer. In 1954, the bank was sold to F.A. Jones, who turned management over to his son, F. Addison Jones, late that year. Addison remained President of the bank until his son Dave took over and he now serves as Chairman of the Board.   Two of Addison’s sons, David A. Jones and F. Austin Jones have assumed the management as President and Senior Executive Vice President.

In 1996 Grinnell State Bank purchased the Marengo branch of Boatmen’s Bank. In 2011 Grinnell State Bank acquired Polk County Savings Bank with locations in Johnston, Polk City and Urbandale.

The Jones Family, Grinnell State Bank and it's employees have always been very involved in the community and value the relationships they develop with their customers and their communities.
